Finite Frame Elements (5.4.2.1)

  • Beams and columns are modeled as a rod finite element. Nonlinear behavior is modeled by the piled plastic behavior model in plastic strain regions defined at the element ends.

Concentrated Plasticity Model are described in detail under the heading . M3 joint with plasticization under the effect of bending in beams, and PM2P3 joint with plasticization under the interaction of axial force and biaxial bending in columns are defined.

Plastic hinges are obtained by using the moment-curvature relation created according to the reinforcement condition at the ends of a reinforced concrete element with its cross-sectional properties and material model. The results obtained in the moment curvature analysis are used to describe the skeletal curve of the plastic joint .
