Seismic Design Category (SDC) per ASCE 7-16 with ideCAD
How ideCAD defines the seismic design category, according to ASCE 7-16?
Seismic design categories of buildings are determined automatically according to Table 11.6-1 and 11.6-2, depending on the SDS and SD1 parameters defined in 11.5 and the risk category.
SYMBOLS
SD1 = Long period design spectral response acceleration parameter for 1 s
SDS = Short period design spectral response acceleration parameter
