In order to create a raft foundation, the foundation boundaries must first be determined. The boundaries of raft foundations are determined by strip footings or raft edges.

The elements forming the boundaries of the raft foundations should be connected to each other without errors and the area should be completely covered. Mistakes to be made at this stage result in the failure of the raft foundations to be created or created incorrectly.

Location of Raft Foundation Command

You can reach it under the ribbon menu Concrete tab, Concrete title

Usage Steps

To create raft foundation in an area limited by strip footing as above;

  • Click the Raft icon from the ribbon menu.

  • The raft foundation toolbar will be opened.

  • Drag the mouse cursor over the enclosed area surrounded by strip footing where you want to create raft foundation. A preview of your foundation will be created and its outer borders will appear in red.

  • Click the left mouse button. The raft foundation text block will appear on the drawing area and raft foundation will be formed.

  • If you hold down the ctrl key on the keyboard while placing raft foundation, the program will wait for you to locate the raft foundation text block. The raft foundation text block will not be placed in the middle of the raft foundation, but will be placed in a place you specify.

  • In this case, drag the mouse cursor to a suitable place and click the left button. The foundation will be formed.

  • If other raft foundations are to be defined, do the same for that area. Otherwise, press the ESC key and exit raft foundation mode.
