Polygonal Cross-Section Shearwall Web Reinforcement Detailing

  • The clamping of the body reinforcements in the wall end area is provided automatically.

  • The curtain end zone wrapping reinforcement is formed from closed stirrups and cross-tie reinforcements. In addition, horizontal body reinforcements, the ends of which are always hooked to the longitudinal reinforcement, are used as the curtain end zone wrapping reinforcement.

  • The condition that the distance between the ends or squares of the horizontal web reinforcement and the outer edge of the curtain shall not be greater than 150 mm is applied automatically.

  • No lapped attachment is made to the horizontal body fittings in the curtain body.


Arrangement of Polygon Shear Body Reinforcement

It is ensured that the body reinforcements are clamped to the polygon wall end regions in accordance with TBDY Section 7.6.4 . Polygon curtain end zone consists of wrapping reinforcement, closed stirrups and cross-tie reinforcements. In addition, horizontal body reinforcements, the ends of which are hooked 135 degrees to the longitudinal reinforcement, are used as the curtain end zone wrapping reinforcement.

The reinforcement arrangement is applied so that the distance between the ends or squares of the horizontal body reinforcement and the outer edge of the curtain is not greater than 150 mm.

No lapped attachment is made to the horizontal body fittings in the polygon curtain arm body.
