Foundation Tie Parameters
With the Foundation Tie Parameters command, the design parameters used in the Concrete Foundation Tie Design, which are modeled together with Concrete Single Footing and Strip Foundation, are determined. Concrete cover, maximum and minimum reinforcement interval, etc. parameters are determined from the foundation tie parameters window.
Location of Foundation Tie Parameters Dialog
Ribbon menu Analysis and Design tab Design Parameters title under foundation tie parameters by clicking the command Foundation Tie Parameters can be found in the dialogue.

Foundation Tie Parameters
It determines with parameters which criteria the program will comply with in concrete design and rebar placement stage.
Parameters with the ( % ) sign mean the percentage expression of the rebar ratio. It is the ratio of the cross-sectional area of the reinforced concrete element to the rebar area expressed as a percentage.
For example, when a “1” is written to the minimum percentage parameter, the rebar percentage is considered 1%. Since the percentage equivalent of a 0.01 rebar ratio is 1%, it is appropriate to write “1” to this parameter.

Specifications |
|---|
Concrete cover ![]() It is the distance from the center of gravity of the tension or compression rebar in the foundation tie to the outer face of the concrete. |
Min. tensile percentage ![]() It is the parameter that determines the minimum rebar to be placed in the tensile zone in the foundation tie. Under no circumstances can the rebar be less than the limit set by this parameter. |
Maximum percentage ![]() It determines the upper limit of the tensile rebar to be placed on the foundation tie. Under no circumstances can the rebar exceed the limit specified by this parameter. If it is too much, the program will give the message "section is insufficient" for the foundation tie where the maximum strength is higher. |
Min. B for double stirrup ![]() The foundation tie width is compared with this parameter. As long as the width of the foundation tie does not exceed the minimum width specified in this parameter, the tie beams are reinforced with a double arm stirrup. Otherwise, they are equipped with 2 double-armed stirrups. |
H for body reinforcement ![]() If the height of the foundation tie is more than the value specified in this parameter, the web rebar is placed on the beam. |
Min. stirrup interval ![]() The spacing of the stirrup to be placed on the foundation tie is chosen not to be less than the value specified in this parameter. |
Max. stirrup interval ![]() The spacing of the stirrup to be placed on the foundation tie is chosen not to be more than the value specified in this parameter. |
Max. mounting interval ![]() It has no function for foundation tie. |
