Creating on a Different Layer
In ideCAD, each object is created in its own default layer. For example, the columns are automatically placed in the column layer. Objects are created on a different layer if wanted.
Continuing on the column example, if we want to create the column in a different layer which is the wall layer;
Click the column icon from the ribbon menu . The column command will be activated.

Open the layer list in the upper right corner of the program, select the wall layer from here .

After that, your column objects will be defined in the wall layer.
With this method, you can create objects in any layer you want.
