B2-Control of Stiffness Irregularity Between Adjacent Floors in the Building

  • B2, Stiffness Irregularity Between Adjacent Stories, Stiffness Irregularity Coefficient defined by dividing the average storey drift ratio at any ith storey, excluding basements, by the average relative storey drift ratio in an upper or lower storey, for either of two perpendicular earthquake directions. This is when ηki is more than 2.0.
    ηki = (Δi(X)/hi)ort / (Δi+1(X)/hi+1)ort > 2.0 veya
    ηki = (Δi(X)/hi)ort / (Δi-1(X)/hi-1)ort > 2.0

  • According to Table 3.6 , the calculation of the relative storey drifts is made according to the Equivalent Earthquake Load Method described in TBDY Section 4.7, taking into consideration (+)(-) 5% eccentricity effects. It is detailed in the earthquake regulation report.

  • If you want to check this report A1 - Building Torsional Irregularity Control section of the program, which is calculated from data obtained from the interface excel Δi,mean you need to make additional accounts using excel value.

  • There is no B2 type irregularity in the building.
