Information level coefficients are used to calculate reinforced concrete element capacities in the performance analysis of existing buildings. Knowledge levels are classified as limited knowledge level and comprehensive knowledge level. The existing material strengths are multiplied by the information level coefficients and the element capacities are calculated using the moment-curvature calculation.

  • The information level selection for the existing building is under user control.

  • According to the selected knowledge level, the knowledge level coefficient is automatically selected and reflected in the material model.

The selection of information level in the carrier systems of existing buildings is classified as Limited or Comprehensive with on-site measurements . The selected knowledge level and the knowledge level coefficient specified in TBDY Table 15.1 are used when defining the material model of concrete and reinforcement. In this way, the knowledge level coefficients are reflected in the calculation methods (linear earthquake calculation and nonlinear earthquake calculation).

After the concrete compressive strength and reinforcement yield strength values are found by using the existing material strengths and the knowledge level coefficient, the stress-strain relations are calculated according to the existing material strengths and material models are created for the existing structures . These material models created are used to obtain the moment-curvature relation of the section. After obtaining the moment-curvature relation, the plastic joint properties (skeletal curve, yield moment…) are obtained.
