Design Essential Internal Forces for Basement Story Elements in Element Reports


  • In the element reports, ductile and non-ductile internal forces are separated in the table and the increase by the D coefficient is summarized.

  • For example, after the analysis of the 2nd basement floor S01 column in the above table, the calculation of the internal forces based on the design is given. If we examine the EX direction in detail, the V2 (i) calculation for non-ductile behavior is as follows:

  • V2 (i) = 54.264 kN for Ex (+ 5%), V2 (i) = 50.411 for ExB (+ 5%)

Design basis (0.6 * 2.5 * 54.264) + (1.5 * 50.411) = 157.0125 √

  • The internal forces of the ductile internal forces, on the other hand, are not increased in any way. Lower and upper section analysis results are collected.

  • Ni = 117.13 kN for Ex (+ 5%), ExB (+ 5%) Ni = 31.022

Design basis 117.13 + 31.022 = 148.15 √
