Euler Buckling Case

In order to perform euler buckling analysis, first a state definition is made in which information about the number of mode, convergence tolerance, iteration number and for which load case to be analyzed is given.

Euler buckling cases are displayed in the structure tree under the Analysis folder.

Location of the Euler Buckling Case Command

You can access it from the ribbon menu, Analysis and Design tab , under the Define heading.

Usage Steps

  • Click the Euler Buckling Case icon.

  • The Euler Buckling Analysis dialog will open.

  • Provide the requested information in this dialog.

  • Click the OK button to close the dialog.

  • You can also access the Euler buckling status dialog by clicking the right mouse button on the load status line in the structure tree analysis section.

Specifications

Case name

Enter a description.

Number of modes

Give the number of modes to consider in the Euler buckling analysis.

Convergence tolerance

Enter the convergence value to be used in the analysis. The default value is fine.

Maximum number of iterations

Give the number of iterations to be accepted in the analysis. The default value is fine.

Inputs

From the loading status column, determine which loading or loadings you will do the analysis for and enter a factor. You can add uploads one after the other with add new line.
