Nonlinear Seismic Analysis Methods

15.6. EARTHQUAKE ACCOUNT WITH NON-LINEAR ACCOUNT METHODS

15.6.1. Definition

The purpose of nonlinear calculation methods to be used for determining the structural performance of existing or reinforced buildings under the effect of earthquakes and strengthening calculations is to calculate the plastic deformation and plastic rotation demands for ductile behavior and the internal force demands for brittle behavior for a given earthquake. Then, these demand magnitudes will be compared with deformation and internal force capacities and structural performance evaluation will be made at the cross-section and building level.

15.6.2. Calculation Methods

Existing or enhanced nonlinear methods to be used in the evaluation of the building, details 5.6 'as described in Single Mode Push Methods , 5.6.6 ' as described in Multi-mode push Methods with 5.7 'as described in the Time Domain Nonlinear calculation method ' is.
