Wavefront.OBJ Import
In the ideCAD Architectural, files with the wavefront.obj extension are imported as a 3D model into the current project with the Wavefront.OBJ import command.
Location of Wavefront.OBJ Import Command
You can access it from the menu under the ideCAD logo in the upper left corner of the ribbon menu.
Usage Steps
Click the Import/Wavefront.OBJ icon.
Double-click the file you want to import from the Import Wavefront.OBJ file dialog.
Rename the imported object materials.
The Import Transformations dialog will open.
Set the necessary parameters in this dialog.
Click the OK button. The file will open.

Scale factor The original x, y, z dimensions of the imported file appear. Depending on the factor value entered, its dimensions in the x, y, z planes change and are displayed under the scale. |
Origin It is determined to which coordinates the origin of the imported file will be imported in the drawing area. |
Swap Y&Z axis By ticking the option, the current y and z axis of the project is changed. |
