Connections given in Annex 9B that provide the relative story drift angle of 0.02 radians should be used. The “Moment Connections ” file contain computations for moment-resisting connections.
As per TBDY 2018, connections can only be designed with YDKT. For the shear force strength, the safety coefficient of 1.00 is taken for the design shear strength.
Eq. 9.11, Eq. 9.12, Eq. 9.13 are automatically used and reported while computing the required strength of the moment-resisting connections.
Column flange thickness, column web plate thickness are automatically computed and warnings are given when necessary.
